I have worked in both large (by New Zealand standards) and small businesses with very flat structures. I am comfortable in a situation where self-motivation and self-direction are the expected behaviour. I find myself frequently introspecting, considering the internal processes in an organisation, and looking for opportunities to improve them to make the organisation self-organising and more consistent.
